Visiting the North Pole

Our first outing since arriving in Colorado Springs was perfect because it also snowed!

We traveled to the North Pole, Colorado – a Christmas themed family amusement park, home of Santa’s Workshop.

The excitement was in the air, but it was a little challenging for me to breathe. My body has not quite acclimated still from Hawaii weather.

The altitude at Santa’s Workshop was 7500 feet and located on the Pikes Peak mountain. It was freezing! But worth it, so much fun. I puked on one of the rides, which was not pleasant. Ever seen puke hit the snow?!

I warmed up later with hot tea and hung around the heater poles a lot.

We did receive comments on the knitted hats and scarves I made before the trip. Yet it still wasn’t warm enough. After spending the afternoon at the park, we eventually defrosted.

It was a great adventure through the North Pole – so festive and perfect for the Holidays.

We visited Santa’s workshop, Santa’s Chapel and Gift Shops. We saw llamas and a reindeer farm too.

The park people were dressed up as Elves and Santa’s Helpers. Fun!
