My second official knitting project was this very easy beginner hand mitts.
I practiced the thumb cast, knit stitch and purl stitch.
This project consisted with a combination of these two stitches and that’s all.
The wrist ribbing was a combination of knit 2; purl 2 across for two inches.
The body section was knit one row, and then purls next row, etc for about four inches.
Then the palm ribbing went back to the knit 2, purl 2 combination for another two inches.
Lastly the sides were threaded together with a yarn needle about 2 1/2 inches from the top and another from the bottom leaving a hole for the thumb.
I made the left hand before completing the other and found this project very fast and easy.
Pattern came from a Leisure Arts book called Cool Stuff Teach Me to Knit. Fun stuff.
