With children screaming outside my classroom windows, I crave the thirty minute respite. Even though I can leave the class for lunch, leave campus, or go to a break room, I’d rather just sit in silence.
In the middle of the day, I need to be alone. If I could set up a trickling waterfall, I would. My brain is still whirling, but at least I’m still.
Psalm 46:10 encourages us to, “Be still and know that I am God . . .”
